Important Information to be considered
Solo travelers are allowed to book any twin cabin type on a sharing basis, the cabin will be shared with another traveler of the same gender (M/F). Peak Season and Promotional rates apply to several departures throughout the year, these can be found in our online availability system, and can change without prior notice.
The cruise itinerary and land activities are subject to change at any time due to circumstances that are beyond our control, like weather conditions or oficial requests from local authorities.
FIT bookings are considered for reservations from 1 to 7 pax, Group bookings as of 8+ pax.
If we are not informed about food preferences or allergies at least 30 days prior to cruise commencement, we are unable to guarantee to meet all requirements, although we will do our best endeavor to accommodate such needs.
All cruises offered by Ecuador´s Landscapes are safari style voyages focused on nature, diving and wildlife. All activities are either snorkeling or hikes between 1 to 2 hours (2 per full-day), with additional lectures onboard focused on wildlife.
Cruises schedule meeting points and times based on the yacht port of departure and flight availability in line with our flight allocation. In case flights are booked directly, note that any changes or cancellations by the airline will not be considered as force majeure and will follow standard cancellation policies.
We strongly recommend booking the cruise and flight together to avoid any potential issues to reach the cruise or your return flight. Fuel surcharges may apply without prior notice in case of exceptional circumstances.
- Acceptance
Booking a cruise or land packages through our website constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions (“T&C”) by the passenger (“you”). If you book on behalf of others, you confirm you have their authority and that they also agree to these T&C.
- Booking & Payment
2.1 Reservation is secured with a 40 % non‑refundable deposit per passenger.
2.2 Full balance due 60 days before departure. Late payment may result in cancellation without refund.
2.3 Reservations made 60 days to 0 days prior tour start date:
2.4 It requires an immediate payment of 100% of total net price of the tour considered a last minute booking).
2.5 Prices are shown in USD, include cruise fare, meals, excursions, bilingual naturalist guides and park permits unless noted. International flights, Galápagos Transit Control Card (TCT), INGALA entry fee, drinks, tips, insurance and personal gear are not included.
2.6 Note that some providers including the cruise operators may apply more strict payment and cancellation policies. If such is the case, we will inform you about these terms and conditions during the quoting process before confirming any services.
- Cancellations & Changes
This cancellation policy applies when the traveler elects to cancel the tour for any cause, e.g. personal or family illness or death, airline cancellations or delays, natural catastrophes, severe weather, terrorism threats, or official travel warnings.
3.1 If the traveler’s cancellation is received 120 days or more before the trip start date, no penalty applies.
3.2 If the traveler’s cancellation is received between 91 or more before the trip start date, a penalty of 40 % of the total tour price per person will be charged.
3.3 If the traveler’s cancellation is received between 60 or more before the trip start date, a penalty of 100 % of the total tour price per person will be charged.
3.3 Name changes allowed up to 60 days before departure. Date changes subject to availability and fare difference.
These cancellation terms apply to land programs booked through our website, except for Galápagos cruises, which follow each yacht’s own policy. Please review those conditions before booking.
- Travel Documents & Entry Requirements
You must hold a passport valid at least 6 months, Transit control Card and Galapagos National Park entrance fee. We provide instructions but are not liable if authorities deny entry.
- Passengers obligations
5.1 Before You board the ship or embark on the Expedition Boat and/or Land Package, You must:
Pay Your Booking Fare.
Familiarize yourself with the Service Terms and Conditions.
Bring all necessary travel documents such as passports, visas, proof of citizenship, re-entry permits, minor’s permissions, medical certificates, and all other documents necessary for travel.
It is the Passenger’s sole responsibility to obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents.
All Passengers are advised to check with their travel advisor or the appropriate government authority to determine the necessary documents. You will be refused to board or disembarked without liability for refund, payment, compensation, or credit of any kind if You do not have proper documentation, and You will be subject to any fine or other costs incurred by the operator that result from improper documentation or noncompliance with applicable regulations, which amount may be charged to.
Any and all additional services and personal expenses must be paid in cash before acquiring them. There will be no stateroom accounts or open tabs.
You must obey the rules and regulations while in the Ecuador & Galapagos Islands National Park. Failure to comply with these rules may result in sanctions by the Ecuadorian government.
Ecuador´s Landscapes shall not be liable for refund, payment, compensation, or credit of any kind, nor damages resulting from Your failure to comply with any of the requirements set forth above.
- Health, Fitness & Insurance
6.1 Travel insurance covering medical expenses, evacuation and trip interruption is compulsory. You declare you are fit for moderate walking, wet landings and boat transfers. Pregnant travelers (> 24 weeks) must present medical clearance.
- Itinerary & Activities
7.1 Daily programs are set by the Galápagos National Park and land packages may vary due to weather, sea conditions or park directives. Activities like snorkeling involve inherent risks, you participate voluntarily.
7.2 The itinerary may be subject to change due to timetable variations in: international and domestic flights, trains, buses, delays in rivers and lakes due to weather conditions, social unrest or natural catastrophes and technical malfunction (planes). If that is the case, the best alternative will always be sought for the passengers. Additional charges will be paid by the passenger.
- Liability
7.1 Ecuador’s Landscapes acts solely as intermediary. We are not responsible for acts/omissions of third‑party cruise operators, airlines, or force‑majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, political actions). Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the cruise.
- Code of Conduct
8.1 Passengers must respect park rules (no touching wildlife, maintain 2 m distance, no littering). Violations may lead to removal from the cruise without refund.
- Travel insurance
9.1 All passengers are required to be fully covered by personal health insurance with international coverage when travelling to Ecuador including any hospitalization or repatriation costs, or in case any portion of passengers’ trip is altered by any causes outside Ecuador´s Landscapees or the agent’s control.
- Passenger’s personal belongings
10.1 Ecuador´s Landscapes is not liable for theft, robbery, loss, or damage to the traveller’s baggage or personal belongings, unless they were left in the care of Ecuador´s Landscapes with the explicit understanding that they would be kept in safety, or if theft, loss or damage was caused by the obvious negligence of Ecuador´s Landscapes employees.
- Child policies
11.1 Children of all ages are accepted but parents are held fully responsible and liable for their children well-being during their stay in Ecuador or Galapagos Islands.
Children discounts will be handled case by case.
- Privacy
9.1 Personal data is processed per our Privacy Policy to manage bookings and comply with authorities.
ACEPTACIÓN Y DURACIÓN DEL CONTRATO
El contrato existe desde el momento en que la AGENCIA recibe ya sea el depósito o el pago completo del TURISTA, hasta la finalización del tour que ha sido contratado. El pago a la AGENCIA por parte del TURISTA del depósito o del pago total significa que el TURISTA está de acuerdo con todas las cláusulas de este contrato.
Todo lo que no esté estipulado directamente en este contrato se regirá por la Ley de Turismo Ecuatoriana vigente a la fecha del presente contrato.
- Acceptance and Term of the Agreement
10.1 The agreement takes effect when the Agency receives either the deposit or full payment from the Traveler and remains in force until the contracted tour is completed. Payment of the deposit or full amount constitutes the Traveler’s agreement to all contract clauses.
Anything not expressly stated in this contract will be governed by the Ecuadorian Tourism Law in force on the date of the agreement.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction
11.1 These T&C are governed by Ecuadorian law. Any dispute will be settled in the courts of Quito, Ecuador.
